My Story

Sixty years ago, God decided the world needed something. Needed someone. Not just anyone or anybody.

God decided that He needed a servant. A man who would be unashamed. A warrior – ready to engage in the battle, at any time, at all times. A man who would live as spirit man, not as natural man.

Someone who would care for the least of these. Someone who would be more concerned about the poor man seeking God’s comfort than the rich man seeking to satisfy his own desires.

For those that knew Tyrone Wayne Warner in the early years, it may have looked like God had made a terrible mistake. The circumstances in the streets of New Jersey in the 1950s were far from promising for this little boy named Tyrone. The odds didn’t look good.

The devil looked at young Tyrone and thought, “This one’s gonna be a piece of cake. He ain’t goin’ nowhere. He’s all mine.”

At the age of 8, Tyrone learned that his father – whom he had only seen once – had died. At the age of 10 – excited for the first day of school – Tyrone went to wake up his mother and found her dead in her bed.

But, remember, God had a plan. God was never worried.

When Tyrone met Diane, well, let’s just say, things began to change. Tyrone began to change. And, after a couple of years of experiencing his beautiful wife’s unconditional love, unfathomable kindness, undying faith in Jesus, Tyrone decided that he needed what Diane had: a life completely surrendered and wholly devoted to God the Father.

And, suddenly, God’s plan didn’t look so far fetched. Tyrone became a new creation. He became the husband and father that God intended. He became the man who walked by faith not by sight. He became the prayer warrior – no matter how busy he was, no matter how many jobs he had or how few hours he slept. He became an instrument in the hands of the Almighty God. Ready to be deployed wherever, whenever, however, to whomever.
